ABOUT LAILA JHANÉ!

Laila is a new media artist based on the Internet, dedicated to exploring themes of transformation and their impact on individuals. Guided by authenticity, she merges storytelling, emerging media, AI, and immersive techniques to craft experiences that provoke introspection, inviting audiences to reflect on personal and collective change.

Her solo exhibition, Where the Mind Goes, debuted at Eyedrum in Atlanta, showcasing her commitment to bridging art and innovation, while her Pepper’s Ghost installations employ illusion and technology to create layered, otherworldly encounters. Laila’s work has also been featured at AVC Fest, Convergence, and other notable showcases, solidifying her presence in both art and tech circles.

Beyond her artistic practice, Laila has led workshops at Spelman’s Innovation Lab and Third World Newsreel—covering everything from integrating AI into the filmmaking process to exploring the creative potential of Pepper’s Ghost illusions. By pushing the boundaries of narrative and experiential design, she encourages creatives and audiences alike to see the world in a fresh, transformative light.
